Kit includes:
3 - 3 foot cloudbuster balloons
1 - 105 foot pennant.
Pennant choices include multi-color, red-white-blue, American flag, and checkered.
If you prefer to have a professional balloon installer come to your site and inflate, please let us know and arrangements can be made for you.
Instructions: You will need a large helium tank (approximately 20-24 Cu. Feet Helium per balloon, to inflate your balloons and two people. Once you begin filling the balloons and it measures 3 feet in diameter (get a measuring tape to measure, so you don’t over-inflate and pop). Once full, one person will hold the balloon the other will tie it in a knot to seal it. You may want all three balloons on one pennant for maximum lift. If you can’t get your balloon tied, use a rubberband and keep doubling it until it holds the opening closed. Take the end of the pennant string and securely tie it to the neck of the balloon. Tie the other end of the pennant string to something stable (a rooftop, sign, awning, car, etc., away from power lines, and other potential hazards that could pop your balloon). You can cut the pennant string to the desired length you want. Once secure on both ends, let it float in the air.
Special Notes: Average flying time is 2-5 days, which is a conservative estimate. Actual flying time will vary depending on inflation size, temperature, and atmospheric conditions. Cloudbuster balloons should be brought in during the evening and bad weather including rain and wind.
Helium tanks can be rented from welding supply shops listed in your phone book. Different sizes of tanks are available and can often be delivered to and picked up from the event location. Because the filling and usage of any large display balloon is beyond our control, no performance or longevity guarantee can be made.
*If you are doing helium balloons outside, preinflate the balloons with an air pump with air first and let it all out. You don't want to waste helium. And you can do this in advance of the event. It is a good thing to do this will all size balloons outdoors. We prefer to do this for 30" or greater balloon indoor work also but don't always have the time. It pre-stretches the balloon and if it bursts you haven't lost all that helium. You can’t control what a latex balloon will do, ever.
The longer the air stays in it, the better. Let it sit overnight with a clothes pin to hold it tight. Fill with helium and tie in a knot the next morning when you are ready to install outdoors.*
